the best way I’ve found for mine is to ignore it 😂 anything else makes it worse & lasts longer

3 is worse for us

Our son started this regularly around 18 months basically when his little brother was born

Oh yeah! Lots of emotional regulation happening here 😂 by the end of the day I’m so mentally drained from regulating both of us 😂

@Carly can't wait 😭

@Samantha I'm due with #2 in July and I'm worried it's going to be a hot mess

@Kelsey that's our method, but it gets so grating after a while!

@Madison I think we need zen classes or something

Oh my gosh there are sooo many big emotions now😭 most of the time I try to just redirect my LO’s attention and usually it works 😂

@Emily I think it would've happened either way, but it is just a little more stressful when you have a new baby on top of a toddler and they can sense that

Like Ms Rachel says “it’s okay to have big feelings” 😂 I redirect a lot. She has been fake whining lately too 😆

My daughter is well has started her terrible two early😩 there has been random meltdowns over her sippy cup, or wanting to be held to sleep, but my patience hasn’t worn thin yet😂🙏🏾

Same here. Tonight she was just crying out of nowhere, like she was emotional or nostalgic.. it's hard to help regulate their big feelings. I was singing Mrs Rachel song lol it's ok to have big feelingssss

Yessss! Some days are so much worse than others. Mostly happening when he doesn’t get what he wants. Luckily they don’t seem to last too long or he forgets about it

@Grace my daughter will just go and go! When we try to redirect, she just gets louder lol

I ignore it and then start playing with something else or doing something that’ll catch his interest. “Oh wowwww what’s this?????” ALWAYS gets him lmao. Mine recently had a meltdown bc he was enjoying watching the dolphin on tv but then it 💔went back into the water 💔💔💔

@Korissa 😂

Yep ! I found it best to try to learn what triggers it then actively try to avoid it. Like I realized my son would freak out if we turn the tv off so I warn him now well in advance when it will be going off and sometimes set a timer and tell him we will stop when the timer goes off. It really works !
