Are they migraines with aura? I’m a nurse and a history of having them most days a week concerns me! By all means go to A&E even if it’s for some pain relief and anti-sickness to try and help. I had my migraines return during pregnancy because of hormones, couldn’t take my sumatriptan because of how it made me feel after! 😭
@Amy yeah they are with aura . When they come on I struggle to hold conversations , can’t stand light or sounds. I feel sick . Have fainted and usually have to go to bed to try and get relief or take a really hot shower with no lights on for temporary relief . The medications for me were horrible . I was so unsteady on my feet , chest was all tight and I became really drowsy . I keep telling the gp I feel like somethings wrong in my head but the neurology referral got declined because I didn’t record my migraines 😞
If I were you I’d go to a private hospital and ask to be examined immediately and not wait for the nhs
