The name Hallie…
I think the name Hallie is super cute, but my sister in laws name is Ally. My other SIL also has a dog named Callie. Is that going to be too confusing?? I’ve been struggling to much to find a girl name that feels right.

We see her fairly often. Not necessarily every week but enough. His mom also trips over her words, English is her second language so I’m thinking it might be a lot for her.

I think the dog is fine - Callie and Hallie have quite different sounds and I guess you wouldn't be chatting about a dog that much... Ally and Hallie do sound quite similar though, esp if you say them out loud - Auntie Ally and Hallie. What does your partner think, as it's his sister? How often do you see your sister in law? Does she live nearby?
