How do your LOs reach the sink to wash their hands after eating?

I bought my son some toddler steps which they marketed as fine for the purpose I was planning to use them for. The one time I decided to stand beside him instead of behind him to wash his hands he fell backwards and hit the floor and I ended up taking him to hospital for a mild concussion! He was completely fine and was kind of a waste of time as he didn’t even get seen once there however I need something that is safer for him! My bathroom is tiny so the toilet is in front of the sink and the bath is to the side of them both. When he fell back his head just narrowly missed the toilet! What does your little ones use?

I hold mine in arms whilst he washes his hands as he can't quite reach with his stool yet

@Steamtrane Family ah, I use to do that but had to stop as he was fighting me to get to the floor or sit in the sink and refused to wash his hands. It just became one big battle all while still holding him and trying to clean him

A bowl in his high chair. Ours are all to high my 5 year old can just reach x

I just use a clean flannel after every meal to wipe hands and face with.

@Jo this is great idea I got a little child friendly spray sanitiser too for on the go

I just use wet Wipes after food, wash hands or sanitize before food

Oh a flannel wouldn’t work for him, he is so messy I would have to bring a bowl of water with me but for it to be warm when I need to use it, I’d have to leave him in the chair to fetch the warm bowl of water so I can keep rinsing off the flannel. It seems much easier to take him to the sink. He also can’t use any wet wipe brands so there isn’t that convenience for us lol
