Sorry, last one: the girl asking resume questions

I have no professional references for my resume and I don’t want to lie and add random names (friends and family) because I have never done any kind of work with them

I have put family or friends that don’t have the same last name as I as “professional consults” before. No lies there.

A teacher/ tutor? Volunteering? Are you part of any clubs or teams? Someone through your faith or your community? Character references are a thing so don’t feel discouraged, someone who knows you well can still speak to your character. Everyone’s got to start somewhere. Good luck!

List them as a personal reference vs as a professional reference. Then list people who can vouch for you on a personal level. Have you ever babysat for any friends or family? If so that could be considered "work" related services for them and they can vouch if you were dependable and what not. Have you ever helped a friend or family member Move? That could be considered doing "work" with them. These are all things that can show what type of person you are. Having work experience with someone doesn't have to mean a paid job.
