I made salmon and pea egg muffins for a first try and then salmon as is in manageable chunks and I also have done tuna mixed with Greek yogurt and made into a sushi bowl kind of thing.
I always give salmon and make it steamed x
I started with salmon then sardines :)
Tuna is fine to give, we did salmon and she ate it with broccoli and loved it. Never seen a kid eat food so fast 😅 any protein, just gets MUNCHED
Thank you ladies all so much so many amazing ideas Can I do tinned tuna? The one I've got is in brine but I can buy other types if they're better! Been loving this group for all your lovely ideas given me a right kick up the bum with inspiration x
I gave her rice porridge with tiny tiny fish chunks in it.
honestly everyone here seems like they went for a way healthier option than me, i did fish fingers😂 just took the batter off or when we had cod i gave her the actual fish without the batter
I did salmon fillets. I smushed it with a fork into flakes and mixed it in some mashed sweet potato, just make sure they’re boneless. I find oven cooking them is best for softness.
I just gave my daughter straight salmon around 6 months old. My husband and I cook it in a skillet with butter, salt, pepper, and a little bit of lemon juice. It’s simple and delicious, and perfectly soft for baby to eat. My baby loved it and still eats it all the time as a toddler. We always use wild caught salmon.
We've given her salmon and tuna, in fact she had tuna, cheese and sweetcorn fritters for lunch today!
Tuna is good! I did salmon fillets for my daughter first. She loves sea food now at 18 months. Simple fish cooked, minimally seasoned.
