Lunches

Anyone else's wee one just eat a 'picky plate' for lunch? My twins don't eat sandwiches and are very fussy so I usually just give crackers, cheese, ham, some fruit a yoghurt and a wee sweet thing. Do you think this is OK?

Absolutely. We often do picky plates. It was recommended to us by the HV as a good lunch option or a smaller one for snack too x

@Jordan its so difficult. Like they won't eat cheese on toast, sandwiches, bagels, wraps, eggs, soup. 🙃xxx

Honestly stop worrying. You're doing absolutely fantastic. Sounds like a lovely healthy lunch. Olivers fave lunch ever is mini pizza and chopped up apple haha. Fortunately he does like bread now so sandwiches can now be a go to. He wouldn't touch bread for so long. Xx

@Iona Kelly that is hard. My little one likes them but they wouldn’t be her first choice. She’d rather have a picky plate! Sometimes we even just do crackers with cheese, ham and apple for lunch. As long as they’re eating and their happy, that’s the main thing. You’re doing fab x

Yes that’s what my daughter has. She has never been will to even try a sandwich!

Sounds great to me!!

Absolutely, we do picky plates most days as my two won’t eat sandwiches. So they usually have pitta or wraps in solider form with either cheese/ham or chicken and then peppers, cucumber & whatever fruit we have in. They love it and much prefer it to a typical lunch.
