I looked after a little girl called Francesca and she went by “Frenchie” which was adorable. Fifi maybe?
My grandfather was Frank Harry and I always said a female version to honor him would be Francesca Harriet (nn. Frankie Harry) so Francesca with a nn. Fran/Frankie I think would still honor your grandfather.
