@Lianne thank you so much for this ❤️ I get anxiety really really easy so this panicked me! I really don’t want that anxiety taking from the joy of last night because I never ever get that time with my husband and I just want to be able to focus on the good but trying to be the best mom always takes over and I end up feeling selfish. Thank you!
My midwife literally told me a few drinks are totally fine to breastfeed on straight away. They only really advise against alcohol consumption while BF now because taking care of a baby drunk is not ok. Dont worry!
@Danielle thank you so so much for this reassurance!
I relate so much to your anxiety but given the time that passed and the fact you only had two I’m sure your little one is absolutely fine!! You’re doing an amazing job 🙏🏻👑
@Sarah thank you so much 😭❤️
I think you and baby are going to be fine! Don’t beat yourself up, well done for having a night off and treating yourself ❤️
That myth has been debunked! I’ve always been told and gone by ‘if you can safely hold baby, you can feed baby’
The amount of alcohol that transfers to milk is so small, it’s basically nothing. Even after 3-4 drinks! Don’t worry at all.
U need to buy those alcohol test strips. It’s hard to feel bad if you tested the safety of your milk before feeding
@Kathryn thank you so much 😭 I never take time away from my kids, and we really needed it. I always feel so selfish! Thank you for the kind message
Thank you all so much for reassuring me on this. My anxiety to be the best mom for my kids can for sure overwhelm me at times
I’m almost certain that this myth has been debunked and it’s safe to feed your baby if you’ve had a few drinks. I’m sure there’s something about it being the equivalent of orange juice by the time it gets to your milk (I’m sure someone will correct me!) Obviously if you’re really drunk and can’t hold them safely, it’s absolutely not. Your baby is absolutely fine and you have NOT transferred alcohol to them.
