Hypertension in first pregnancy - again in second?
I am 36 weeks with my first and have had pregnancy induced hypertension. So far I've avoided medication as it appears that a lot of it is white coat syndrome related, however today I have had quite high readings at home, so phoned triage and have been here since 2pm (almost 9pm now). Am going insane in the hospital.
I've always wanted two children and it is very important to me that my child has a sibling.
However I'm not sure if my husband in particular can cope with another pregnancy like this, we have been in and out of hospital dozens of times for my hypertension and we have both found it hard but he's expressed that it's put him off a second. Obviously we will see how things go with our first, but I'm wondering what the risk is of having this again in a second pregnancy. Has anyone had blood pressure issues with their first and been fine with their second?
I had hypertension with my first but didn't with my second, until 39+5 and he was born 2 days later and not at all with my youngest. I took baby aspirin all the way though my second and third pregnancies which can help
