I had raised blood pressure during my first pregnancy which ended in me getting early preeclampsia and then a stillbirth. This pregnancy I've taken aspirin since week 11 and my bp has been amazing!
I had pre eclampsia with my first I’m now having my second and 29 weeks. Everything has been fine until my 28 week appointment last week my bp was high so got sent to triage. It came down once I got to triage but they wanted to check it again this week to be sure it wasn’t the start of hypertension. I went in on monday and it was sky high again. I’m not sure if I’ve got white coat syndrome because I keep getting all hot and bothered when I’m there because of everything I went through last time. Anyway they sent me home on lebatamol and it came down when I came home (I checked on my home monitor) but they wanted to see me again the next day and everything was back to normal. So I’m trying my best to chill out and rest as I can as I really don’t want it to turn into pre eclampsia again I’m hoping the hypertension can be managed with the lebatamol.
My blood pressure is borderline/ high end of normal outside of pregnancy. It starts creeping up as soon as I’m pregnant so end up on medication from around 16 weeks. I also have terrible white coat syndrome which doesn’t help. This has been a problem in both my pregnancies, it has been slightly worse this time round but my blood pressure outside of pregnancy is higher than it was when I had my first.
