Don’t be. 💜 whatever you want to give your child search it up on solid starts and it will tell you how to serve it for their age. And give you tips.
I recommend the solid start app
@Ashley small pieces are actually easier to choke on than large pieces. #solidstarts
I'd mostly stick to fruits (pears, peaches, nectarines), veggies (carrots, zucchini, butternut squash), and starchy plants (yams, potatoes, yuca root). If they are not soft, then cut into small cubes and steam them. I'd avoid salty foods, like premade nuggets, but if you wanted to try some chicken, cut it into really small pieces or mash/blend your own chicken into nugget consistency. Nugget is just a thick chicken puree, after all... Adding other spices than salt, like cinnamon, is recommended.
Made my own chicken nuggets with chicken mince and sweet potato bit of garlic powder, onion powder or whatever you want to pop in. Also a saying for you “Loud and red them go ahead Silent and blue they need help from you” Look up choking vs gagging too, they have to learn how much to put into their mouth etc
I gave my baby a chicken leg but I took a lot of the meat off that could come off easy.
We started partly bLW with some toast and watermelon some things we know will mash up easily in her mouth cause we have a miss independent too she’s just started working in some meats most of her food gets thrown but it’s about learning
@Ashley google says to give her a whole naked chicken leg and that scares me😂
