Eating

Who’s LO is not eating 3 times a day? I feel like a terrible mother. When I make her something, she does not eat she will just cry or throw it on the floor. However, if anyone is eating around her and you feed her some she might have about 4-5 bites. I have even tried to trick her and placed her food on a tray pretending it’s mine so she can have some but she catches me out and won’t have it 😂. We’re still very reliant on milk

We go through phases of that! He will always have breakfast but I hand feed him weetabix and lunch is hit or miss usually will just have fruit and dinner he’s nornalllllly good at but sometimes will just refuse and will just have his yogurt but he’s also only have 3 bottles a day sometimes 4 if he doesn’t have dinner! But other days he eats everything no fuss plus snacks! Just keep trying :) we found lunch is the hardest! X

Yep, my youngest still won’t eat. Only just started showing a vague interest in food. I used to feel awful as my eldest BLW and ate everything from 6 months. I just have one good eater and one that doesn’t care. I’m not fussed anymore as he gets all his nutrients from breastmilk still until 1 years x

Id just try again after an hour or so with a crust of bread and butter or that and see if they take it if she doesn't eat much at the meal offered. Sometimes I give her Cheerios on her tray as a distraction. I let her feed me one and then I feed her one and it gets her started too.

My first barely ate and my third EATS, I’m not a better parent to the younger, they’re just different. My first relied on milk till 2!

@Kierrah oh wow, this is nice to hear that it’s not just mine. Is you first a picky eater as a result?

Unfortunately yes, picky doesn’t really cover it. I think she has ARFID, limited diet… balanced enough to be reasonably healthy but just tricky to manage and very repetitive. My middle is 3 and vaguely picky but he will try new things and eat a wider range.
