@Chloe thanks! Does she just eat it with her hands or do you load the spoon?
It’s always good to let them have a feel and a play, it’s messy but it’s good for sensory. So I’d say do both, my LG will happily take things from the spoon too though. Try eating stuff infront of them at the same time so they understand what they’re supposed to be doing with it
I make porridge fingers equal part oats and milk, fruit of your choice microwave for 3 mins let rest and she can self feed she absolutely loves them
Mines the opposite, will only eat off a spoon and he’ll put toast in his mouth but he doesn’t understand to show what he’s bitten off!
@Maria this is such a good idea I’ll definitely be trying! Thanks x
@Cass yeah to be fair it does take him a while to chew and he still doesn’t eat much but he does at least put solids in his mouth which he won’t with mushy things
We just make the porridge a little thicker, this is also really good for texture familiarizing. I’ve always been a fussy eater so trying to get that out of her system asap. My LG is on cow and gate formula so we buy the cow and gate porridge and she loves it
