Child benefits

I applied 9/12/24 and only got a response yesterday so they are severally back logged

Call them and do your application over the phone that's what I did and I got my child benefit within the next 5 working days

I applied on 11th of December and they only just got back to tell on Tuesday to tell me that they needed my baby’s certificate because they couldn’t find her on the system

I applied 16/1 and received my first payment 2 weeks later

That’s strange I applied beginning of January and got it paid 10 days later and a follow up letter mailed to me 2 weeks later telling me it had been approved and the amount. Maybe because I already have a child so it’s all set up with them. But definitely call

I applied last week and got it this week

I applied on 05/01 and was still waiting for a decision, I called today and it seems I was a digit off the birth certificate so they hadn’t processed the application. It took about 15mins but it has been resolved now - defo give them a call! good luck x

I applied 15th of December and just got it yesterday

@Oana i called them and they told me i have to wait till may🫤

Oh that’s strange - did they give a reason at all? If no, perhaps give it a few days and try again and say that you know of people that applied around the same time and you just want to make sure they have all the relevant info to process the claim x

@Oana they said they have lots of applications amd is busy so it'll take long but yh they giving it faster to other people
