You can cancel you application by calling or and emailing the maternity allowance team. I am not sure of their info but I’m sure if you search it on the gov website it should come up. As for receiving both MA and UC, any payments made by MA would be deducted from UC. So if your MANpayments are more than your UC you will not get any payments from them. But if you want some money towards the baby there is a grant called the “sure start maternity grant” it’s a one off tax free payment of £500 and this does not need to be paid back. Just like the maternity allowance you need to fill out paper form and send it off. However there are some criteria’s so give a look and see if it is suited to you.
You will get the same on UC as MA..
@Elena i don’t because they pay towards housing, my UC entitlement is £1300. MA is £800 odd
Im fairly sure you can receive both but double check with the job center first x
