Soreen

Hi Can baby have a diced up Soreen bar? What can we give as sweet for after lunch?

I googled this before as my 3 year old loves it, but Google said the sticky texture is a choking hazard, so I avoided it. I give fruit and yoghurt for after lunch. Afternoon snack and slightly sweet options I give are toasted tea cake or toasted hot cross buns

Recently, I've been giving banana/tinned peach/gapes and yohurt. I also made some oat cookies the other day, which last for 5 days in the fridge. They are made with banana, peanut butter and egg. I add cinnamon, too :)

Thanks both. I give fresh and tinned fruit with yog. Guess she’s not bored of it - just I am 😅

@Amy oh great! Haven’t toasted before Thanks Amy!

You can give anything sweet in moderation. My daughter is 11 months old and had her first jam sanwich today (only a quarter of a sandwich, thin layer of jam). She had a quarter of a cheese sandwich with veggie soup kept warm in the thermos flask and a quarter of a jam sandwich because we were out today. You could give baby some kind of healthy cake like carrot cake with custard. Sometimes, my daughter has jelly and custard for pudding at lunch too. They do pots of jelly and custard in Aldi. Could even do banana and custard :)

@Georgina there’s so much no sugar jelly isn’t there! Thanks!
