Starting out

Can someone please give me a little list of what they first ever gave their baby when first weaning them onto food and how they did it like mashed up or in a blender or in one of them little food things they can suck on. I have a few months to go but wanna start getting some ideas. Thankyou🩷

I used the Charlotte Stirling Reed book to get started. First week I blended up veg & added a bit of baby’s milk into it. Broccoli was the first veg.

I did two weeks of vegetables so one single veggie every day. In whole form, sometimes blended as well but she always preferred baby led weaning. I found the joe wicks wean in 15 book helpful. Also the solid starts app

My little girls first meal was a roast dinner 🤣 she loved it

I went to Ella’s Kitchen online and got their free weaning guide. I then gave her veggies blended to start with. Froze some in ice cube trays! Then when I felt more confident with it all I moved onto soft finger foods x

Just gave her food! Started with broccoli and then moved onto other veg. She has some puree but it’s mostly baby led whatever i’m having. She’s 7 months and had steak with rice & salad last night followed by strawberries and blueberries ☺️

Started with purées but if I had a second child I would start blw, puréed veg incorporated a new one every few days, so like puréed sweet potato’s, carrots, parsnips etc and fruit I mashed (mashed banana, avocado, blueberries, blackberries etc) then started offering them whole and followed solid starts guidelines. If I was to do it again I would follow solid starts guidelines again and do blw from the start. Sorry hope that made sense not the best wording lol x
