Advice on second baby?

Hi ladies Who do I go to to get advice on family planning? Can I still contact my old midwife for my first baby? I just want to know when is the suitable time to have another baby considering I’ve had a c section with my first (I do not want another whatsoever). I want advice on physical well-being, how would I prepare my body for my second pregnancy. Im planning on getting pregnant by the end of this year around oct . If anyone can help then that would be much appreciated. Also is there anyone else whose considering having another baby at this point or are any of you already pregnant/had another?

I'd love to try for a second and I'd also love to try for VBAC. My understanding is that the NHS advice is to wait at least 18m between giving birth and getting pregnant again and WHO recommend 2 years. I'll be waiting the full 2 years before I get my implant removed (but I also want to BF until 2 so that plays a role for me as well). I'm not sure about contacting your midwife but I think you'll be OK contacting your GP or your HV 😊

I'm currently pregnant with my next baby 10 weeks to go 🙈 will be just under 18months between them! They can make recommendations but everyone's bodies are different and heal differently, this one obviously wasn't planned but as I'm breastfeeding and periods everywhere didn't find out until I was 11 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Monika hmm yeah I think il probably wait until October or December when she’s 2. Ty for your message x

@Lauren aw wow congrats!!!

I spoke to a gyno about mine went through all my birth for my first advised me what to do next if having another i already know i cant do a vbac because i had a T incision as baby was completely stuck so next will be c section as long as when your 20 weeks your past 18months pp then its fine im high risk now because of what happened first time so ill be having elective section i cant opt for vbac

My second is 6 days old and perfect! I fell pregnant 6 months pp xx

Currently 10 weeks pregnant after having an emergency c-section with our first. All depends on how the birth of your first child went really, because of how our sons pregnancy/birth went I'm classed as high risk regardless of when we had our 2nd but they advise waiting 18 months-2 years before another pregnancy however this one was a bit of a surprise. I ended up seeing the same midwife at our first appointment which was great and she was happy to see us and wasn't concerned about the age gap as I didn't fall pregnant until our son was almost 15 months so its not too far off and it passes the minimum advised healing time of 12 months! We'll be going for a planned c-section this time due to the risks and so I can feel more in control of what happens this time but its different for everyone! I dont see why you couldn't message your previous midwife for advice but failing that then the gp would be my next go to😊

@Taiya thank you!

@Deb aww congrats!

@Hol aww ty good luck x
