I’d personally switch the metformin for berberine, commit to a keto diet, if you can start intermittent fasting even better. Good start is 16/8. So 8 hour eating window. There are studies that link pcos to parasites also worth taking a look at. All the best x
@Adel luckily I’ve always had regular cycles just after an ectopic pregnancy we discovered a polycystic left ovary and they put me on Metformin as we haven’t been lucky with getting pregnant, so it’s only since starting this medication my cycles gone from 28-35 days to 20 - on the medication to help me ovulate as it’s proving I’m not ovulating but having a regular cycle. @Elisha I am already borderline Keto and low carb and only a few weeks into Metformin and have to take for 6 months before being referred to a fertility clinic - I’ve had stool samples investigated already and all is normal there and I’m fine back on one tablet, the early period is all that’s surprised me mainly. I would say I already accidentally intermittently fast as I’m never really hungry anyway on these tablets Xx
@Ruby I’m so sorry to hear that. Maybe it’s just adjusting to your body. I’m going through the same thing but Iv stopped my period and I’m not ovulating. Maybe get some bloods taken. Sometimes medication can affect a period too. Hope it goes well x
@Adel Thank you, possibly , if I could get hold of my GP I would ask for a blood test 😂🤦🏼♀️ good luck with everything I hope you get lucky soon xx
Pcos and periods are very unpredictable. Some cycles it’s light some cycles it’s heavy.
