I know its late into your pregnancy but you should switch OBs. At your next appointment, talk to them about how you need these things done and need them to be on top of everything because you are high-risk. If they don’t listen or change their behaviors, fire them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Got my GBS swab at 36 weeks and glucose test at like 24, which I think is about average. If you’re high risk, they should be even more on top of things than general pregnancies. If you’re 37 weeks or farther (which everyone in this group should be at this point) then you definitely should’ve had your GBS swab. Call your office and if they can’t get you in that day or the next for GBS swab, you might wanna consider finding another doctor that will see you this week. If you do happen to go into labor before then, make sure the hospital knows you never had a swab done and request the GBS antibiotics be administered just in case. I think like a third of women end up having a positive test, so better safe than sorry
@Emilee appreciate you taking the time to write this I go back on Monday hopefully I can get clear cut answers and I hate to be that person but I never see the nurses actually doing anything which is what sets me off a little more because I have worked medical before I know the ins and outs of working in an office but it’s just frustrating that I guess what I’ve been taught at those jobs isn’t very universal
I would definitely confront them about this at your next appointment and potentially switch OBs or offices if you can. Unfortunately this is why they say you have to advocate for yourself because sometimes things aren’t taken a seriously as they should be . despite it all I hope you and your baby are 100% healthy
