birth affecting my desicion

Hi guys, i found out im 3 weeks 6days pregnant, i am leaning a lot more towards keeping my baby, however birth is putting me off, i am absolutely terrified of it and scared i’d die or something awful, i am 20 and only 5”1 and 50kg, but i am still a fit and healthy girl, im just scared my anxiety would bring on complications ☹️🩷

Remember, there are lots of different ways to give birth! You always have choices x

I had my first child at 22 (21 when conceived). I suffer with depression and anxiety and I thought having a child would worsen my symptoms. I’m not gonna lie, I have my days. I would only suggest having a child if you’re truly ready and able to handle life situations under all circumstances. Life be lifing, but you have to learn how to put emotions aside for the sake of your child. I had a high risk pregnancy (GD), had to get ultrasounds every 2 weeks. My baby was born completely fine & my birthing process was easy bc I made a birth plan. Also, having a supportive partner really makes a difference. If your partner is problematic & unsupportive, it will make motherhood a complete nightmare. Just think about your current life situation and how raising a child during this time would affect you. Make the best decision for you, and only you!

@Asia thankyou so much , my partner is so supportive and we’re in a pretty good place tbh that i believe we’d be totally capable of raising one, i do have severe anxiety but i am really strong with it, i know id put it aside and focus on my baby, it truly is just the birth side im most scared of because of the risk of dying and all the horrible stuff you hear !

@Emma that’s really true, i feel very relaxed in water so i think id opt for a water birth!

@remy go for it, you’ll be fine. Discuss any concerns you have with your OB & try to have the same doctor you see throughout your pregnancy deliver your baby! I’m excited for you! wishing you a safe delivery for you & baby. ❤️🙏🏽

@Asia thankyou so much girl, means the most🥹❤️

Congratulations! I’m also terrified, I suffer from anxiety and depression and already thinking of all the things that could go wrong and I might be a terrible parent. I think it’s all my anxiety speaking, if you’re ready to have a child , maybe explore support systems that can help you get over that fear , like someone already said, there’s many options to choose from re birth. 🫂

@Tee that’s so true! it’s definitely my anxiety speaking, it’s just like focusing on everything bad rather than good, you’ll be perfectly fine🩷hope you feel better with your anxiety and things, always here to chat! you’ll be an amazing mother ❤️

@remy thank you so much, likewise!🫂🤎
