I think you need to be careful of catching shingles. I got them at 35 years old around a month after my stillbirth. It might be a risk if you're pregnant as once you've had chickenpox as a child the virus stays dormant in your body.
You can’t get shingles from chickenpox so I wouldn’t worry about that: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/shingles/ As @Naomi said I had a similar situation. My dad had shingles and my parents don’t remember me having chickenpox as a child (you can get chicken pox from shingles). So I rang the maternity advice line and they checked some blood they had of mine as apparently they keep it for two years. The blood showed that I’d had immunity (eg had chickenpox at some point) so had immunity and there was nothing to worry about. You should be fine!
@Catherine o god i don't know what the doctors have been telling me then 🤦🏽♀️
I think it’s only of slight concern if you haven’t had them yourself before. X
My son had it about a month ago. My mum doesn’t remember me having it as a child so I was offered a blood test to check for immunity and given anti virals just in case. It turned out I was immune so I stopped the antivirals. If you know you had it as a child you should be fine. But maybe call them again if your worried
