What's your rest BP

My resting BP has been like 120/80s-90s! But my doctor hasn't diagnosed me with anything. I'm so concerned! It started with my last pregnancy and just never adjusted back to normal. Is my anxiety making it worse??

That’s my normal! Why are you concerned?

That's pretty normal girl...

Oh I'm thinking the bottom number is too high for my age 41. The other day it was like 134/100 so I went in for emergency appointment. And I kid you not it was 134/88 and they were like you're good. But I just thought something was wrong. I took a blood pressure pill i was so concerned

Was ur significant other their when the took it apparently sometime they spike ur blood pressure being around at my clinic they take out blood pressure by ourselves before calling them to come with

No. I was just working. But I've been dealing with some issues with my property management so that might be the issues now that I'm thinking about it

@Haidde

I used to work at a doc office as a med assistant we were the ones who took BP that was pretty normal range

I measure BP all day. You got a blood pressure that I teenager would die for. What’s the concern?

I’m a nurse in critical care, and that is a normal blood pressure. The bottom number is the pressure in your heart at rest, and it can fluctuate, but that number is still normal

Where are you taking and how are you taking your BP?

I have had problems with my blood pressure all my life. I am on medication for it as my blood pressure would range from 180/100 and when pregnant it was 193/120 which is why I even needed the medication when pregnant. I wouldn't take blood pressure medication if my blood pressure was at your range.

My doctor said anything below or around 120/80 is normal.

@Erika a year ago my doctor recorded a reading of 150s/90s and she prescribed lici something..a bp medication but before I left the drs office I met with a nutritionist and she said based on my eating and health that reading didn't seem right so she has my BP measured two more times with a different cuff. And those readings were my usual 120s/80s. So she said something was wrong with the other cuff. But when I went to the pharmacy I guess my dr forgot to cancel the prescription so I picked it up but never took it until three days ago and yesterday I took half. All my doctors are telling me that the bottom number is too high when its in the 80s-90s. And that only my top number is normal so its interesting to read these comments

@Erika i use two bp cuffs at home and monitor it regularly using them.

But where are you doing BP and how

@Nicole that's good to know. It 90s to 100s for bottom number when I took it

@Michelle yeah that's what all my doctors say. They don't like the bottom number at 90. That's why I'm freaking out

Dont stress yourself lovely just ring your midwife unit if your worried and ask to bf seen even check your urine to make sure there's no protein etc z

@Michelle i remember when I was pregnant there was protein! But nobody has mentioned anything about that after. They just did blood work so if something is up. Hopefully they figure it out. Definitely trying not to stress

@Angel yh if your ever concerned just ring and ask. Sending love

You are carrying a human. Some women get hypertension and diabetes during pregnancy. Your BP is fine. The hormones elevate BP. Do you even know what your BP was before pregnancy? I wouldn’t worry about these figures and I treat high blood pressure All day.

Just here with an update. My blood work came back normal but they are diagnosing me with high BP due to bottom number. At my appointment today though, both numbers were high 🫠. 140/100 no idea why. They said they think its just stress and getting older. But that is definitely not normal BP for me. Its been 120s/80s-90s all week except for may two days where out of nowhere it was like high 120s-132/90s.
