We went to the Aquarium for the day. As a party he wouldn’t remember and it would be more just for us and everyone else. We did a tea with grandparents and auntie and uncles if they wanted to drop in. He was happy and no props/party entertainers were needed.
My sons birthday is in July. We're thinking of doing a picnic in the park and if family and friends want to join they can. A couple of balloons and maybe a little cake but nothing over the top.
It’s not about the child it’s about you.. yh they won’t remember but why don’t you wanna create memories for yourself to take photos of and look back? I’m doing a party, going to the zoo, CBeebies adventure at Westfield and a cake smash x
I believe the first birthday is just as much about parents (or, in some cases, mainly mum). Definitely do something to celebrate the milestone of keeping your little one thriving for a year.
My partner doesn't want to anything for our sons 1st for the same reason but I'm worried I'll regret not having memories for me. I'm still in two kinds about what to do!
