Breakfast

Has anyone got any breakfast ideas for a 7 month old? I’m running out of ideas and am still half asleep in the mornings 😂

I just keep it simple, porridge some mornings, some mornings buttery toast, eggs x

Its either porridge, toast or pancake and always some fruit as well

I do lots of batch cooking for the early mornings, so sheet pancakes, banana eggy bread, granolas x

I'm pretty repetitive Eggs Weetabix Porridge Pancakes Yoghurt and fruit

Soft scrambled eggs, egg muffins, banana muffins, fruit e.g. banana, porridge, banana oat pancakes, yoghurt, avocado, mushrooms, sausages & toast with butter or nut butter

Batch cooking pancakes & freezing them is good.

overnight oats, yogurt & fruit, porridge, eggs & avacado / toast, (baby) cereal, homemade oat bars, baby pancakes

Porridge fingers No egg banana pancakes Avocado on toast Weetabix Porridge Croissants

Muffins, omelette, french toast, porridge, oat bars, scrambled eggs, pancakes

On workdays we go simple with some oatmeal cereal with peanut butter and banana if we have it. Weekends is usually scrambled eggs with avocado and fruit

My daughter usually eats the same few breakfasts: - Toast w/strawberry cream cheese + fruit on the side - Toast w/peanut butter & banana puree or blueberry puree (now that my daughter is 16 months, I do peanut butter & honey too) + fruit on the side - Yogurt with fruit, chia seeds/fruity Cheerios/granola etc (I change up the toppings) & a fig bar - Batch made pancakes (an easy recipe that I love is: 1 pouch, some flour & baking powder if you wanna experiment with different flavors) with a lil bit of eggs & turkey sausage and fruit on the side (usually do this on weekends or a day where we don't have anything planned) My baby girl's not a fan of oatmeal or id throw that in the rotation. I also mix & match so it doesn't feel too routine. Like this morning she had half a slice of toast with peanut butter & banana w/ a lil yogurt on the side.

@Sophia how do you reheat them?

@Mey I don't know how she does, but I wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for about 10-15 seconds and they're good to go.

I have some banana muffins frozen and I usually pull them straight out the freezer and microwave for 10 seconds and they're defrosted and warm in that time, can't imagine it being much different for pancakes

@Nicola what porridge are you using btw? Can they have Quaker Oats?

@Tam I use smooth porridge like ready brek but you can use normal oats like Quaker Oats and blend them if you’d like a smoother consistency! X
