First PP period

Hi ladies, just started first period since delivery (5 weeks since baby)… any notice how uncomfortable/painful tampons are? Does this get better?

I’m 5 weeks pp with my 3rd baby but After my 2nd I noticed how uncomfortable it was and I was never able to go back to them. I only wear pads. I sure hope that it’s not like that with you!

@Chelsea horrible lol! I feel like my pelvic muscles are so tense… hopefully it goes away 😭

You should not be sticking anything up your vagina yet!!

I’d completely avoid tampons for a while, instead just use pads or period underwear

You’re not supposed to put anything in your vagina for at least six weeks

Just started mine yesterday, will be 6 weeks PP tomorrow. But until you get the okay from Dr you're not supposed to take baths or have anything inserted inside the vagina

Doctor has already cleared me… just wondering if this is a common issue

I just can’t for the first couple of periods.. I’m a tampon girl but after giving birth both times I had my period literally 4 weeks after delivery and waited 2 more weeks for the Dr appt and still after I was cleared it took me a couple of months to be able to use tampons again.

I had this with my first. It’s normal (at least I think it is) it doesn’t last forever. The first few periods were weird and awkward but I didn’t get my first period until 7 months postpartum last time because I was breastfeeding so I can’t tell you when it gets better
