Cake?!

My 10month eats very healthy balanced meals, nursery are doing a bake sale this week and because hes vegan i dont want him to miss out so was going to send him with a mini cake. However after reading online that its not advisable, i feel like a bad Mum :( What would you do?

Could you opt for some mini banana muffins or similar so he doesn't miss out?

Hopefully, they have some vegan friendly options. I'd still send him with a cake just in case so he doesn't miss out and just tell the nursery that's what you're going to do just in case there is nothing there for him to eat :)

Tbh it's a treat. I don't see the harm in a one off cake for him to enjoy! I'm making a cake for my little girls birthday sugar and all and really don't see the issue with her being about to try some new things. I was going to try make it with coconut milk instead of cows milk like I usually do

I’d just talk to the nursery and see if they’re ok with it
