Protein cereal
My daughter is not a big meat fan either but she loves tofu! I cut pieces of extra firm and warm it up in some marinara sauce and cheese
My lo has refused to eat meat for a couple months now. Lots of cheese and beans are our go too
Sounds like my 4 year old. Pediatrician’s recommendation is to just keep offering and dont force it. Good substitute is peas lentils and yogurt. Also they have protein bars that kids can have. Just be careful of the sugar to protein ratio. Also don’t use protein powder
Thanks everyone! I’ll give some of these a try!
Cheese, yogurt, black beans, edamame, and he's taken to liking a protein bar I give my older two
We're vegetarian over here. Eggs were a no go for her for awhile but now she likes scrambled with ketchup or boiled that's been smashed with butter and salt Cheese and yogurt are usually safe Beans! Refried, chili, hummus, white beans mixed into Mac and cheese or other pasta, that kinda thing. Peanut butter is also helpful for us. Have you tried tuna? Maybe tuna salad would be a path towards meat?
My daughter that is 16 weeks is also very hesitant when eating any protein. Eggs, she has her days in which she will eat them but not always. I cook a piece of chicken thigh or the bone like making a soup. I put malanga, sweet potato, carrots, butternut squash and celery (mind you it’s a little piece of everything) add chicken broth or bouillon. Boil to soft, blended it all except the chicken and cook a little pasta. It’s my daughter’s fav and she gets the nutrients from the chicken. I literally just had this convo with the dr the other day. Yogurt, beans, cheese, peanut butter and milk like other moms suggested is good too.
My son has done this from time to time. We like to hide the meat. We’ll make homemade veggie and put chicken in it and he loves them. My assumption is either teething or just a texture thing.
Thank you ladies! I’m giving all of these recommendations a try!
Chia seeds and hemp seeds. Can be mixed in yogurt or sprinkled on nut butter toast or whatever. Also lentils, I was lucky my son loved a lentil soup I made.
My daughter only eats eggs and chicken salad but her weight is ok. As long as her bloodwork is ok and weight I wouldn’t push.
Try fish? Salmon is great, also grains are really high in protein like amaranth, red beans or beans in general, lentils, chickpeas, edamame, homemade peanut butter.
My boy loves smoothies with Greek yogurt!

@Jimena he isn’t a fan of fish either, spits it right out lol. But he loves beans so I’ll give what you suggested a try! Thank you!
@Madison ohh I’ll have to try smoothies!! Thank you!
@Erica yeah, I try and try eggs..but he hates them lol. I’m not worried about his height and weight, he’s literally off the charts with both. Thanks girl!
@Amanda ohh I’ll have to try lentils! Thank you!
Cheese and yogurts have some protein. I make things that have eggs in them. Like a smashed pee fritter type deal or oatmeal mug cake that has an egg
