Unexpected Doctors Appointment

Seems a little dramatic for the doc to declare an induction so early just based on a couple of slightly high BP readings 🙄 Especially if labs don't indicate pre-eclampsia, which I thought was just the presence of certain protein in urine. My doc is suddenly stressing me out at the 11th hour too and it's made me salty. Like I thought she was just chill bc everything has been going well, but now I feel like she hasn't been paying attention.
@Audrey he said he was running bloodwork and an additional urine sample from the lab as an “abundance of precaution” … he also knows I have a tendency to spiral and panic so he told me not to worry about it yet. I will find out tomorrow or Wednesday what the labs show, but I did bloodwork at 30 weeks and it was completely normal 🤷🏻♀️ now I feel like my blood pressure is just going to remain high out of stress. I’m so sorry you are experiencing the same stress.. it feels like I’ve taken 10 steps back so I feel your frustration
My blood pressure is all over the place😢 I’ve tried all the suggestion my Dr made but it didn’t help I check mine 3 times a day and 2 weeks ago told me we were gonna do my scheduled c section at 38 weeks. Makes me nervous this pregnancy as I had zero issues 2 years ago and went 40+ 4days. I hope it goes a lot smoother for you after today
They are going to induce me at 37 weeks. It started with slightly elevated blood pressure but then the next read would be normal. At home it’s normal as well. Sometimes a little elevated but nothing crazy. However they did test my urine and it had high protein levels, which indicated preclampsia. I was nervous about being induced because I wanted an un medicated birth, but I also don’t want baby to be in distress so I’m coming to terms with it!
@Kenzie I’m the same way, I just want to be sure my baby is okay and I am healthy/deliver safely. I trust my doctor, I was just a bit surprised / discouraged after everything. I hope it goes well for you! Sending good thoughts

I should add that every other appointment has been normal and we did go visit my parents this last week! What is usually a 4 hour car ride, turned into a 6.5 hour ride with traffic… so a lot of car stress the past week :-)
