Would you leave your sleeping 4.5 yr old upstairs, while you go downstairs to catch up with an old friend?
My child goes to bed around 830, I just found out a long time friend lives super close to me, but she gets off of work at 8pm so our only time to catch up would be after my son goes to bed. I don’t want to invite her in my home just yet, I haven’t seen her in 7-8 yrs, so I would like to get reacquainted before inviting her into my home . I live on the second floor of a 2 family house. It’s about 10-12 stairs to get to my son . Would yall do it ?

Do you have a camera? Can you see your kid and make sure nobody gets in? If so, yes. That’s like living in a 2 story house and going to the kitchen to cook something while the kid sleeps. He’s 4.5, he know how to get off bed and even go outside to look for you if he needed you

You'll be okay mom. I live in a house, 13 steps to get to 2nd floor, I'll work on the main or basement but have camera on him in case of anything. Also depends, does your little sleep the entire night?
