Possible autism?

So i possibly think my son is autistic but don’t even know where to start? Or if im completely wrong . Daily we have a massive battle with eating he just won’t eat he will sometimes only have a yogurt a day if im lucky and refuses anything else its a daily battle. Then things like doing his teeth he goes absolutely nuts about to the point he gets so upset the same with things like me touching his nails etc . I’m struggling to potty train him because again he won’t go near the toilet and again gets so upset. Me and my husband have tried everything and it’s really getting me down especially the not eating , I could really do with some advice

Get a referal for him to be tested so you can find out

Hi! So it’s unlikely you’ll get a MAAT referral started until he is 3 but you can get the ball rolling now. Get in touch with your health visitor and explain these things to them, if he’s at nursery also get them involved for their input. Request a section 23 which is putting your child on the send register. You can also get referrals for help with sensory needs and dietician referrals. Hope this helps as starting getting a paper trail whilst young will help you in the future if you want to get the autism diagnosis.

@Alison yeah his had his check he passed with flying colours. I did voice my concerns to them and they said “that’s just 2year olds “ testing the waters. I’m not convinced tho x
