Where in MK and around to go for baby stuff shopping

First time mum here, 20 weeks pregnant and looking to start shopping around but it seems like there isn't anywhere for actual baby stuff, only mamas and papas but I thought it was pretty crap and over priced. Willing to travel 30 mins to an hour x

John lewis sometimes do really good discounts on the baby stuff

John Lewis and online shops are also a good place as price match at JL and can do a lot of comparison online . Vinted also has all sorts of baby stuff.

Bumpstart is an independent baby shop in Mk. Especially good for trying out buggy’s and car seats

I found John Lewis really helpful as you can book a consultation to talk through and be shown different things, we originally booked for prams but lady ended up showing us car seats, bottles and a few other bits with no pressure to buy anything.. I’ve heard from a few mum friends that’s groovystyle in berkhamstead is really good, I didn’t actually find out about this shop until after I had my baby so haven’t been.

I second bumpstart! On the expensive side but do lots of baby stuff and the staff are super helpful! Got my pram from there with the help of some lovely workers who helped try loads of different ones x

@Milly I never even knew that existed, thank you so much!!

@Ziedune thank you! I will be going to that 😊

H&M home at the retail park have a mamas and papas upstairs with lots of good stuff, went on Saturday x

Bumpstart is a great shop. There's also a shop in rugby, so a little further away, called The Baby Barn, that also do pushchairs/car seats/furniture etc. Prices are very similar but I found the baby barn had more of a selection. Primark are great for baby clothes, muslins, bibs etc. Ikea also do cots and baby furniture and really good prices. Then in towcester you've got in car safety that do car seats. Popsy and peanut for clothes (they do a great sale and a loyalty scheme). Zap and toes for when LO is older and you need to look for shoes. Vinted also do loads of baby bits. Sign up to amazon for a baby wish list and you get a free gift and 15% on things on you wish list. And sign up to boots parenting club as you get freebies and discount through that as well x

Just second hand stuff so much available. No need to buy brand new.

I know a lot of people have said but John Lewis and if you book a slot with them online you get 15% off (could be 10% it’s been a while since I went to my appointment) if you buy stuff at the appointment!

Agree with all of these but also vinted! And dont forget to create a wishlist on amazon, you get 15% off of lots of baby products and brands xx
