Baby not interested in solids

My baby is 7.5 months old and still has zero interest in solid food. He does eat tea, which is puree that I have to feed him but he's not interested in other meals and he doesn't bring any food to his mouth or even play with it or touch it. I am combi feeding while I'm trying to wean him off breastfeeding and I'm down to just two breast feeds a day and 3 bottles of formula. It feels as though my baby is the only baby not interested in solids when I talk to friends and I'm starting to get really stressed and worried about it. And also exhausted from trying to come up with different foods for him to try that never even get touched!

I wouldn’t stress it too much as food before one is just for fun as they always say. Maybe try and offer some solids before you offer a bottle? Tbf, the only way we got our girl interested at the start was with wotsits, she then understood how to feed herself and now she’s basically a hoover and eats anything so just give it time.

My baby is 8 months and has zero interest either. We started off with purées but she’s would just clamp her lips shut and not eat it! I give her bits of what we’re having now and she’ll suck the food, but not actually swallow it! We’re just persevering and hoping it clicks eventually!

Keep persevering our little girl is 8.5 months old and we went through the same thing until a week ago. She didn’t seem interested in food, would constantly shut her mouth after a couple of spoonfuls of puree. All of a sudden last week she began showing interest and is eating a lot more doing both BLW & purees. I felt the same as you seeing other babies demolishing plate fulls, but they will get there eventually… just in their own time!🤷🏼‍♀️🤣
