My toddler rarely has crisps and I like to think I wouldn't get into the habit of offering them daily. But growing up, for me they were pretty common as a snack, that will be the same for plenty of people. We're a crisp loving nation. Not all of them are ridiculously unhealthy, and some kids won't eat much else. I'd rather mine ate crisps than nothing. They are fine as part of a healthy balanced lifestyle. It's not really your business anyway so I'd stop worrying about it if I were you.
No judgement, just trying to understand if I’m missing something @Jess
Not worried @Rachel and you can keep your aggressive tone to yourself xx
😂😂😂
Whilst not healthy may only be part of their diet. Could be having plenty of fruit, veg, home cooked unprocessed foods outside of that. Nothing wrong with a treat. They could be choosing the healthier version of this such as baked versions. Also could be lack of time or knowing how to manage their time, convenience, lack of knowledge, how they were brought up, money, picky eating, ARFID. :)
Posting as incognito because you know you are judging and ppl will react to it. Everything is poison these days, crips, water, air, fish and chips. Everyone have the right to choose their sin, even you ♡ let that sink love
Thank you @Helen
Yes, I know people would react even if not judging @Astrid I’m sorry you feel judged xx
Thank you hahahahhaha im so releaved by your kindness.
Wish my 8 year old would eat crisps. Her lunch looks bare enough as it is. Plus she won’t eat sandwiches at school. Also growing up overweight and constantly on a diet I want my kids to know nothing is off limits and everything is fine in moderation.
Mainly because they are quick and easy when on the go! Who doesn’t like crisps! Interested in what you give as snacks?
You are right, they are quick and easy. But they don’t have any nutritional value and have too much salt. We usually give Fruit, lentil cakes, bread and almond/peanut butter, plain yogurt..@Emma
People would argue too much fruit is bad for their teeth - so people can never win!
Never heard of anyone getting tooth decay from fruit 😅 but yes, people can never win!!!

You’d be surprised then… the natural sugars do contribute to tooth decay!
Adult crisps like quavers etc everyday, I absolutely agree. No need to be offering a whole pack of them every day. As a treat, or having a couple from your pack, fine. I can’t have mini cheddars without my LG asking for one, but she knows she gets one and the rest are mine. Toddler crisps are much lower in salt, and I would say my little girl has these maybe every other day, but usually a third/half a pack alongside lunch rather than a whole pack. A lot of the non packaged ‘snacks’ are messy and less easy to offer on the go, so I get why people opt for them. You also don’t know what else that child is eating in a day/week?
Depending on what crisps, do you mean toddler crisps like organix, or toddler cheese puffs from supermarkets or regular? I have given these products and like bread sticks which I'm very certain contain more salt content and I'm sure a couple of real adult crisps have slipped past me at parties 🙃. I think personally crisps are least of the worries there are kids drinking Coca-Cola etc, but I'm sure parents are fully aware about teeth and health nowadays.
There are veggie ones, but my son is too young for something that crispy
My kids love crisps, have them everyday, but they also have a varied diet ☺️ I don’t restrict anything in my house.
A few crisps doesn't so a kid any harm, chill lol
@Rebecca my baby was born from crisps and Mc Donald’s 😂😂😂
I’m very much chilled after your valuable insight! Thank you @Rebecca
I don’t think it’s nice to almost judge a parent for what they choose to feed their child. No one knows the circumstances or whether the child has difficulties surrounding food. Personally I believe in everything in moderation, no such thing as good or bad foods. A fed child is better than an unfed child.
