@Bailey This is exactly what my partner and I did for my son’s middle names.
@Bailey that make sense and yeah people do get so easily hurt that’s why we opted out of giving my girl my moms name because then his mom would feel left out ( Heidi and Nikki don’t really go together). We just went with naming her something that has nothing to do with family. I have two middle names so I thought it would be fun to give my kids two but most people don’t usually have two.
I like two middle names better than two first names
One of my daughters has two middle names.
We actually combined dad and grandpas name as Joseel and gave him my grandpas middle name because he was more of a father to me 🥰🥰 I love my babys name but this is also a GREAT IDEA!!
My daughter is due in July and we chose (at least my partner agreed upon doing a double barrel middle name, to do Sunset Seven as the middle name all our kids will have it and we see it as a tradition that can be passed down our own family legacy if you will; I didn't want baby girl to be left out as our two sons have the same middle name so I figured she'd have both of best worlds her first name was gonna be Sunset till we thought of the nicknames and decided against it being her first name..
@Megan luckily his mom and my mom have e same middle name so our oldest has that as a middle name and we gave our second daughter her own middle name no dedication to anybody
its kinda a lot in my opinion but that being said i think its less chaotic if there’s one first name, 2 middles & one last. otherwise too much. my baby has 2 middle names but also 2 last names bc we aren’t married yet & idk if im gonna take his last name lol but thats like a crazy amount to me
We did that for both of mine. My son has both grandparents and ironically my dad shares my oh name. My daughter has my great grandmothers two names of which Ann is also shared by my mil and sil as well. To top it off oh has a double barrelled name! At the end of the day how often do you use a middle name?
Both my sons have 2 middle names. It’s a non negotiable for me.
I have 2 middle names (not even family names) and I love it!
@Chastity oh wow never met anyone with 3! I really want to give two but struggling to decide what I’d make the second. I’m going to have to create a list and start actually narrow it down.
@Megan I have a list of first name options and a hugeeee list of middle name options. For our youngest we have gone through every name mixing them up until we found a flow we liked. 🖤
I wanted to give my daughter two middle names but my husband voted against it

Both my kids will have 2 middle names 🤷♀️ same as me (my partner has 2 original middle names but ended up with more) mine is my 2 grans and his original 2 are his 2 grandpas. We did the same with our daughter and will be the same when our son comes in may. I do think it’s too much if there’s a double barrel first name tho
My three boys all have two middle names each. Based on significant people in our lives. They're on their passports and will be on any legal documents but that's it. It doesn't make a difference to their daily lives, but it's made a difference to the family and the people they are honoring.
My boy has 2 xx
When I changed my name I gave myself 2 middle names & my daughter also has 2 middle names. The first one is something we loved to go with her name and the second one was to honor my grandpa. I think, even though her name is long, it flows really well together
I prefer one, but not against 2 as I have 2 (thanks dad lol)
We wanted to use both of our dads names (baby’s grandads) as middle names, but as we’re double barrelling his surname (not married) we think it’ll be too much to have two middle names plus two surnames. Instead, we’ve combined our dads names (Reece and Steve) into one middle name (Reeve) xxx
I have two middle names and I dropped the second one
All my 3 girls have 2 middle names each x
My LG has 2 middle names. Her Dad has 2 and I have 0 (was given one but got rid). She's named after her 3 great-grandmothers with her first and middle names. Our chosen boy name also has 2, but we're scuppered if we have a second girl 😂
I have two middle names and love it :)
One of my sons has 2 middle names. My youngest 2 kids have 2 last names lol.
My girls have two middle names...it's not going to do any harm to anyone.
I prefer one imagine if they have two middles names and when they get married as a couple they decide to double barrel which is becoming more popular that’s five names that’s a looooooong name
I have 2 middle names. My brother and his wife have 2 middle names, and my son has 2 middle names. My friend's daughter also has 2 middle names. I love it, personally. All middle names are family names for us.
@Tanya, that would be a choice they make as an adult knowing how long their name would be. It would be insanely long 🤣

My son has 2, both our dads names 😊
I did and i dont care what ppl think i wanted him to have my late grandads name and in my husbands family they always carry on the dads name, so he has his grandad and great grandad names as middle names
We have two middle names to recognise both sides of the family.
I prefer 1 middle name but if I have a boy my partner and I agreed the middle names will be both our dads first names (I for sure want my dads name as their middle name while he doesn’t want his dad to feel left out)
