@Jade okay thanks that helps a lot ❤️
Also, ultrasound estimates can be off also…a friend of mine was measuring big and had regular growth scans because they thought her baby was going to be huge she ended up being 7lbs and I forget how many oz…I was measuring “on time” and my son was 8lbs 9oz much bigger than they thought he would be lol
my baby girl was in the 98th percentile up until after 30 weeks, after that she gradually dropped into the 85th-ish. and like Melissa said, scans can be off quite a bit in either direction.
Those aren’t 100% accurate at 36 weeks it was saying my daughter weighed 7 lbs and she only weighed 5 lbs when I gave birth
Like the others have said above, growth scans based on the measurements aren't always right and they can change at a later stage in your pregnancy but IF the scan is correct it will be okay try not to worry. My lo looked small based on the scan, the hospital booked me in for more frequent growth scans to keep a closer eye on her and when she looked like she wasn't growing much more they booked me in for induction which failed. She ended up coming via emergency C-section at 36+2 due to me having some sort of infection. She was 4lbs 1oz when she was born and only went on the NICU for one night just to be on the safe side. She was absolutely fine and the hospital staff are usually pretty good at what they do x
They told me my baby was too small and had to come out now...they told me he was maybe 5lb...he was 5lb 10oz which doesn't sound like much but it makes a BIG difference as he actually lost too much weight and was down to 4lb 10oz at 1.5 weeks
My little girl was weighing 4lb 4 weeks before I was due and was born 5lb4🫶🏽
That's most likely not accurate.
Scans can be so inaccurate. My friend was told her baby was going to be over 9lb and she was born just over 5lb!

Most babies gain weight the last few weeks of your pregnancy. Everything should be fine 🫶🏾
