Nursery days

I'm trying to decide what days to put my baby in nursery (I won't have a job to begin with so fairly flexible). Would 3 days in a row be better or split the days up throughout the week? I feel there are pros and cons to both options.

Personally we are doing Tuesday-Thursday do we still get the benefits of bank holidays and when in-laws etc are helping with child care they can come to us for the weekend or we go to then to make the travel easier. I'm working 5 days but we could only afford 3 in nursery so could pick any really. Was thinking it would be easier for long weekends away too but I can also see the benefit of splitting up the week too it's hard isn't it

We do Tuesday-Friday. Thursday and Friday are half days, and I didn't want to do Mondays because of all the bank holidays as you still have to pay even if the nursery is closed.

We’re doing tues-thurs as well and Monday is my non-working day (my partner has Fridays) so I get bank holidays as extra days leave at work and we thought it would be better for our son to do a block of time at home and a block of time at nursery so it’s less confusing for him? I dunno if that’s true though just what I reckon haha

@Jayde That’s crazy that you still have to pay when it’s shut 😳 I’m still waiting to find out how much my nursery rates are as they’re were being reviewed last time I asked! Now thinking about factoring in paying for bank holidays is making my brain hurt 😂

Same as Flo. My son goes T W T and I like the routine. Mondays off with me and Fridays with nanna then the weekend. Plus I get bank holidays back through work x

We wanted Tuesday to Thursday but Wednesday was unavailable to us so had to decide either a Monday or Friday. Seeing as there’s more bank holiday Mondays (and still payable despite them not being in) we decided on a Friday 😆
