Thoughts?

I’m 40+3 today Went to an OB CHECK and they did a scan that indicated baby’s belly is measuring smaller than it did 2-3 weeks ago(2 weeks ago they even thought that baby was getting too large) so they’re afraid of the placenta being insufficient? Like not passing along enough nutrients? Has anyone heard of this?point is they sent me to the hospital 😒 pretty much to get induced. I’m still in triage and got a sweep while I was at OB. Just developed diarrhea and had part of mucus plug come out but NO contractions at all. Reason why I don’t want pitocin is I really want to increase my odds of NO epidural. Epidural really messed up my recovery first pregnancy and it’s a small percentage that gets pitocin and gets no epidural

Hope everything goes well, Jessica!! Been thinking of you

My baby’s belly was too. It was either because I didn’t eat enough that day or the night before or the baby just didn’t fill her stomach yet. Unless it’s the torso all together measuring small, just the stomach usually isn’t an issue or anything to be concerned of. Also sometimes they just get a weird angle and it looks smaller when they are checking and then it’s actually fine so if they aren’t stressing then you should t either. My next visit when they checked it was still measuring smaller in most measurements but they were able to get one that it seemed normal so it’s all about the position of the baby and if they ate enough or if you ate and drank enough before that appointment

@Jess aww thanks Everything went great! At 40+4 I gave birth to a 9.4lb baby!!! After they thought growth was restricted lol!

@Mira thanks for the response Baby ended up being ok thank God and huge! Lol 9.4

@Jessica wow I’m so glad everything worked out!! That’s a big baby haha 💛
