Wren isnt unusual. Its used a LOT for girls so upon hearing it or seeing it written down the majority of people will assume girl.

We have chosen Sorley for our August boy. Means summer wanderer. Wren is very common now so wouldn’t go for that if you want something that’s uncommon.

I think August is a soft name, and it's his birth month. Nickname Augie, which is also soft and cute.
