Realisation you have no money

Does anyone else just struggle with the constant realisation that you won’t have money until the kids are much older / adults 😭 2 of mines are in nursery and 10k a month for 2 days. We have a house that needs so much modernising. We haven’t been on holiday since kids were born and can’t see how we can go on holidays in future. It’s just crazy how much things cost!

Prices are crazy. Our food bill has almost doubled! We used to have £300 a month for “fun” but now we don’t and my clothes are literally falling apart. Keep debating a second job but then I actually want to see my child and husband too… 🤷🏻‍♀️

It is highly concerning and can't continue rising at such a rapid rate. I don't know how people in cities survive.

Same! I'm holding out for the 30 hours I think it'll make such a difference, we are moving from full time nursery to a pre school then and even with the after school clubs our bills are going to much less than the 1k we pay now!

It’s just disheartening isn’t it. I want to do lots of fun memories with the kids and big days out but for a family of four to even go to safari park or soft plays is so much money every week! Our nursery fees are going up next month also. I know the kids are happy but can’t help feeling we are missing out 😭

Can you get any annual passes? It’s a dear do upfront but we have some and it makes for easy days out. Also some you can get through Tesco club card points if you shop there.

10k a month?! Is that a typo 🫣

@Amy whoops sorry was meant to say 1k a month, roughly 500 each 🤣🤣

@Cal this is a good point, actually haven’t thought about this. I’ll definitely have a look!

Merlin have just brought out a Parent & Toddler pass too. They emailed me about it yesterday. (Have an affiliate link I need to get on my website if you’re interested) Think it was £59? We’ve got ones for a zoo & wetland reserve too.
