Squash and yams steamed until soft. If you make your own purees, blend them for a shorter time so they are a little chunky, not purely smooth.
We did sweet potato. I second recommending Solid Starts, it has information on how/when to serve just about any food you could think of.
The way I started was purées 1st . Then I kept offering table food like bananas 🍌 mashed potatoes
Eggs bananas grapes
I gave my little boy banana first, then scrambled eggs & porridge
Pancakes worked well for us, savory with veggies or yoghurt and puree mix. He really enjoyed but anything slippy like banana or avocado I found he really struggled with gripping. He loves using a spoon himself you can get short handle ones which worked well, some have holes you can wedge banana/avocado whatever in to help!
I gave avocado slice, whole roasted asparagus, carrot. Solid starts on instagram is a great resource, they have a website too I think
Sweet potatoes (roasted & puréed) Plain Yogurt (whole milk) Avocados (mashed)
Eggs, avocado, banana. Also, if you havent already, please research the difference between gagging (totally normal) and choking. A lot of people freak out when their BLW baby gags 😅 Solid Starts is also a great app to use to see how to prepare/modify foods by age/motor skills!
