You should be able to get diagnosed now

My son (2 years 6 months) is currently being referred for speech therapy as well as a referral to assess his delayed developements. This was advised by his nursery, without them I’m not sure we would have gotten this far! His delayed development was picked up at 2years 3 months and it’s still processing. What I have been told, is that the first thing you have to do is get their hearing tested at hospital audiology. Any other referrals won’t happen until this is done to rule out hearing problems. It might be different in your area. I hope this helps! Maybe talk to your gp and insist on a audiology appointment? x

My little girl can hear as she copies songs she has got a hearing test for next month she’s been refered for speech therapy and occupational health the heath visitor said once’s she been seen by them she can be referred

She scored 0 on her communication on the review xx

Hi, We have been on the wait list to see community paediatrics since September. We have had hearing tests that are fine and have started speech therapy. Unfortunately, it's a waiting game. The midwife referred us for paediatrics. Xx
