Our lil girl had bread and toast past few months just cut into fingers or lil squares and has cheese or egg mayo on them usually, or scrambled eggs with some toast usually give her one slice of bread
Yes we give my little boy a sandwich, he loves it!! Especially with cheese spread, a lot easier option x
I still don’t do sandwiches with my 11 month old because she gags and can’t chew it properly, and it gets stuck to the roof of her mouth and gums into a ball that she can’t shift, even using tiny cut up peices it still happens so I do toast for her! For lunches if we’re at home I’ll do her a warm lunch like beans and sausages with toast, or if we’re out I’ll take pack a little lunch, so I’ll pack some pancakes, with some Pom bears, some cut up fruit usually oranges because they’re her favourite, with some biscotti biscuits, and some baby oat bars, cheese strings, snacky bits ect, because she doesn’t like bread unless it’s toasted! If I’m out all day, and I know she’ll need something bigger than snacky bits, I’ll stop somewhere that does food I’ll stop and grab her a sauagroll from Greggs or find a bakery and get her something, because she’s quite fussy and doesn’t really eat a lot , she eats breakfast but that’s really the only full meal I can get her to eat x
Mine loves a sandwich. She's had cheese, ham, banana and cheese spread so far. It took a while for her to get used to it
Mine loves a sandwich x
Has a sandwich for lunch almost every day! She's had jam, peanut butter, ham, cheese, egg mayo and her nan has given her chocolate spread before too.. just 1 slice of bread halved and made into 6 squares (we've upgraded from 10 then 8, got bigger as time has gone on) and she eats them really well
I did a Philadelphia one - no crust
I do lots of sandwiches, but use pita bread rather then regular sliced bread. My 10 month old loves cheese spread in a pita bread.
I’ve been doing sandwiches for a while now. Not her favourite so she doesn’t have them often but they’re quick and easy especially if I need to pack her a lunch to take out x
I haven't given her a sandwich together. She's generally had the bread and then the stuff inside separately. Need to get some easier fillings so then I'm not worried about her choking!
Thanks everyone. I think I’ll give it a go!
I started sandwiches a few months ago, we have ham, cheese, tuna, jam, pretty much anything. She eats the crusts fine, I just squish the sandwich together so it doesn't get too messy and things fall out. She has it in little squares xx
Yes, but using 50/50 or whole meal break as it’s not as doughy and doesn’t get stuck in the roof of her mouth like full white bread does
Yes, the warburtons thins are good too as an alternative to a loaf of bread x
I use one slide of bread and fold it over. She loves cheese spread, grated cheese, tuna, ham xx
