Bottles/ food

What does everyone’s little ones have a day? My little girl has only had 3 bottles today!! She’s had a full bottle of water too ( she loves it but i try not to give her too much) but I’m just unsure on what to do her for food!! She loves purées and only just starting to like a bit of BLW! I just don’t know what to do her for her dinner?? Has anyone got any tips or advice ? Or could anyone tell me there routine ? Thankyou xx

For me it depends. If he is having regular stools I’m happy to offer some mashed fruits or porridge for breakfast, and then some BLW with some veggies for dinner. I’m careful with water as I’m worried it will dilute his salts, and I’m breastfeeding on demand. Personally I would just do what feels right. As long as they are active and gaining weight in a healthy way. NHS website have some really good dinner suggestions and information I personally followed.

Thankyou!!🫶🏼 xx

My son has 3 meals a day and 4-5 7oz bottles of formula, but he is growing very quickly and eats/drinks all of that. Sometimes (he is BLW) he fills up more on his meal if he does very well at eating it all so only has 5oz of one of his bottles but he’s still getting enough formula. With only 2 meals a day for us he was still having the exact same amount of formula he won’t take any more but also eats all his 3 meals a day minus leaving the odd bits because they’re harder to grab so I have to help him. Have you tried looking on social media’s for meal ideas there’s so so many!!

You could make a spag bol but blitz it up in the blender to your desired texture so it’s a bit more thicker than a smooth puree if she’s not keen on trying actual big bits of pasta and the mince (just don’t add any extra salt seasoning to it, or if you do prefer it for yourself then get theirs out first and then add it) xx

3 9oz bottles , 7:30 , 3:30 and 8:30. 3 snacks a day, morning, afternoon and evening Water, around 5-6oz a day Lunch time meal. Things like pancake, cheese, pombears , bits of apple, She’s not the best eater but she’s getting better she also eats off my plate at tea time ( if she’s interested)

Thankyou everyone so much for your advice means a lot🫶🏼 just finding it hard at the minute to try and get into a routine! She’s not the best eater either 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣Xxx

Depends if dinner is lunch or evening meal for you haha, dinner to me is evening meal in which case I’m now trying to give her what we have or a similar variation (e.g. tonight she had a go at a fish finger, some homemade chips and mashed up peas while we had cod, chips and peas). If dinner is lunch I tend to do things like cucumber batons, salad tomato wedges (she loves both of those for her teething) and I make things like potato and cauliflower cheese tots and broccoli, tuna and cream cheese puff pastry pinwheels. She enjoyed some crumpet today for the first time but things like scrambled eggs and toast work too.

For blw- personally I find solid starts app great, I just use free version great for knowing how to cut up food ideal for them holding onto We generally now give him what we are eating just no stock cube or salt.
