Things you wish you did/purchased for first bio kid?

Hey, first pregnancy here and feeling pretty alone in it. Not sure if it’s that family lives so far away or all my friends are at different stages. But I’m wondering what wisdom you have to share: what do you wish you had done before baby was born? Or maybe items you wish you’d had for your first? Thank you!

Finish unpacking & do the garden (we moved house in my 3rd trimester). More muslins & baby grows, they get dirty fast, we didn't have enough. Open cot feels too much like they've been abandoned to a newborn, they need something more enclosed to start like a moses basket. Put the clean nappy under the dirty one before you take it off. Use the changing mat upside down in case they wee mid change, it helps stop the wee going on the floor & is easier to clean.

@Susan thank you ❤️

I’m 18 weeks and I’ve met several wonderful women on this app (pregnant, or just had a baby) and it’s really nice that we’re in the same life stage, not to mention all the wisdom they’ve been able to share. Try swiping and meeting people in your area 🤗

Prep food! Do a meal train. Tell people ahead of time you want them to come over to do laundry, dishes and clean your bathrooms if not the whole house. Amazon is your best friend! Too much work to run out for those last minute needs, just order them to be delivered the next day. They live in sleepers (depending on time of year) when they are little, no need for cute outfits really. -40 yr old mom of 9 month old twins
