It is normal but in my case, I also gained about the same. Now after 6 months postpartum, I did an annual bloodwork and realized I had Hypothyroidism. Maybe ask your doctor to check.
Don't be so hard on yourself. Pregnancy is a really challenging time and you are growing a baby. Be gentle with yourself during this time. Once baby is born you can consider options to lose the weight but for now don't stress about it.
My ob told me to watch my weight also. I went from 145 to 190 and she told me to watch it around 160-170 pounds and I was 30 weeks. As soon as I gave birth I dropped to 170 ish and was losing 3 pounds a week. Iâm 4 months PP and down to 140. Honestly, donât listen and be hard on yourself unless you have previous health issues or gestational diabetes. Just keep doing what youâre doing. Donât worry.
I gained 90lbs eatting clean, working out, and getting 14k+ steps daily at work! My mom gained 70lb each pregnancy and my OB said that itâs usually genetic and as along as your glucose test is negative and your BP is normal itâs no cause for concern. â¤ď¸ I lost 25lbs in the 3 days after delivery!
Donât worry about it! I gained 50 pounds while pregnant and still tried to take care of myself but itâs gonna happen. Iâm the same way with eating and Iâm still alive and healthy lol. Enjoy your cravings and your pregnancy donât worry too much.

This is very normal, I mean personally I gained 40 pounds. Your weight can drop down after you give birth. Youâre growing a human inside of you. Normal to gain weight. Isnât really something you should focus on or be insecure about. Also if it was a âproblemâ with your weight gain, your OB would notify you. You donât have to over indulge in certain items for sure but if your body is saying itâs hungry eat. Maybe try not to eat super late at night. Also youâre 30 weeks. Donât be so hard on yourself.
