Anyone have teenagers too? Please no judgement if you don't have teens đź©·
I'm exhausted. These teenage years are savage.
I can't get her to go to school. She's riddled with anxiety and stress. We have a very loving, open communication style of relationship and are super close. We speak about everything.
I've got her support at school, been to the doctors, obviously communicate every day with her myself too - and it all seems school induced.
She's not being bullied, but says she hates routine and doing the same thing every day (I know), she hates the workload of high school, the pressure, the teachers are all at the end of their tether so just shout all the time and she doesn't learn too much etc etc. Honestly considering homeschooling. I have a feeling her mental health would drastically improve, but she/I don't want her missing out on the things the rest of her friends are doing.
I just don't know what to do...
I don't have teenagers, but I just wanted to say I hear you, that must be so difficult and I really hope that you find a solution, I have a toddler girl and baby boy and I would hate to think that they would have those struggles, but they are all too real! We as adults have them so for your daughter to feel this way is totally acceptable, it's just awful that it is detrimental to her education, and with that said maybe home schooling is the best option for the sake of her future although the social aspect is also so important, if anything COVID has taught us that! Sorry not helpful but I just wanted to send a big virtual hug and I'm sure you will find the best solution for your daughter! Xx
