Allergies
Anyone else have a 2 year old inherit your bad allergies? We have been doing Zyrtec as prescribed since he was roughly 6-8 months. I feel like it never did anything. Has anyone tried Benadryl yet? I know it says it’s safe for 2+ but I’m still hesitant

I literally just gave my two yr old this last night. I gave him 2.5 ml because I was scared too. I wanted to give him half of anything bc I was scared and checked with the pediatrician who cleared it. But I still did half 🙏🏾
My toddler had to have Zyrtec due to being allergic to our dog I haven’t given it this year yet. He has been handling things fine I definitely won’t give Benadryl because I’m sensitive to it
My son has food allergies and has seasonal allergies as well! We do Zyrtec per allergist recommendation!
Yes I have given Benadryl. Didn’t care for it as much as cetrizine (he gets it every night) along with Flonase. Benadryl typically needs to be dosed every 4-6 hours which is pretty inconvenient overnight. Cetrizine also doesn’t have the drowsy effect like Benadryl
