Got my lb vaccinated as soon as we were able to at 1 year old
Why would you? Chicken pox doesn’t have complications.? Am I missing something here. Are ppl scared of the chicken pox now? Like I wouldn’t intentionally have my kiddo catch them like they did in the 80s with pox parties but I’m not sure why you would add poisons into little bodies to prevent their own immune systems from doing the work? X
@Kerry I found it really hard to watch my girl cry non stop for days without being able to help her and without getting any sleep (none of us did). It was like torture 😔 There are no complications if they get it early. Get it later on as a teenager/adult and it is a different story all together.
@Kerry chicken pox can have complications. Most people won’t suffer from them but it does happen. I remember a teacher from school saying her son has brain damage after getting chicken pox. Also, the severity of which people get it does vary and some children can get very ill with it. The NHS intends to include it in routine childhood vaccinations so it is serious enough for it to be added to the list.
Both of my children have had the vaccine and they had no side effects.
So there’s something to the pox parties then! Who would have thunk it!!? 😂 Just done a bit of reading and I don’t think I would personally be bothered about vaccinating my children. Although I definitely agree it was horrible watching my lo suffer when she had it 15 years ago. I feel like overall ppl need to do their own research when considering vaccines. You never learn anything about vaccines talking to normal ppl about them but you learn a whole bunch when talking to an antivaxer about them. So if you know any, start there for a crash corse in why not. That is what I have learned on my journey so far anyway (my kiddos are semi vaccinated. And I wish I knew more earlier.)
They had chicken pox and I wish I knew about the vaccine
